Antique Oyster Shucking Block/ SOLD
Very cool oyster shucking tool or block from the 19th century. Not many of these around! Im not sure what type of wood that the early wrought iron wedge sits in but it is heavy about 5 Lbs. Both wood and iron have a good early patina. SOLD

Early Spill Proof Sander
This is a cool piece! I was told it is a tip proof sander used on board a ship although since there is a S engraved into it I have to wonder if it couldn`t be an early salt shaker I'm really not sure. It is egg shaped but slightly smaller then a hens egg.

18th Century Iron Candle Stand
Early 2 candle adjustable wrought iron table top candlestand.Finely detailed with penny feet,2 hooks to hang fat lamps from to add more light or just as another option. Good condition the only thing is the tabs that hold the height adjustment are worn so it slips if you try to raise it.That could be repaired in sure. Early 1760-1820.

Early Basket
I know nothing about this basket other then I came from the West coast. It is made with reeds I think along with leather,wrought iron and some kind of cording or twine. It’s a real gem! One small area of minor loss by handle attachment mentioned for accuracy.

George III Wall Box
Late 18th century wall box in a form usually seen for pipes or candles. Made from mahogany with terrific inlay. H shaped brass hinges,19" tall, there is an old well done repair on the lid.

Rare Stone Gate Weight
Found in Pa. this is a one of kind gate weight made from some sort of quartz or marble. A rare and early piece about the size of a baseball with the original chain.It weighs about 1 1/2 lbs. Not quit as peachy as the photo makes it look.

Rare Signed Philadelphia Oil Lamp
A bell shaped brass lamp signed on the bottom Dyott & Kent of Philadelphia. Dyott & Kent were dealers in oil lamps and chandeliers during the 1840's – 1850's. Michael Dyott of Dyott and Kent was Thomas Doyotts brother well know owner of the Dyottville Glass Works in Kensington, Philadelphia during the early 19th century. There is some interesting history regarding the two brothers. This little guy had little or no use inside is an old newspaper clipping from the estate sale where it was purchased many years ago.

Early Pennsylvania Treen Covered Jar
Nicely turned wooden Beehive shaped footed jar and lid.I'm not sure what type of wood was used could be Walnut.It is 4 1/2” tall with a warm patina. When the jar was turned the carver made a detached ring that floats loosely on the pedestal.

Ruby Red Ships Lantern
A really nice large and early ruby red ships lantern. Tin lantern with a heavy blown glass globe probably blown in a New England glass factory.Perfect condition but is missing the oil burner.

Signed Tin Betty Lamp
Interesting signed tin oil lamp,signed Scr.Nav.Co. for the Schuylkill Navigation Company . This Company was chartered in 1815 to build a series of navigation improvements in the Schuylkill River. A waterway of 108 miles it was complteted in 1827 linking Philadeliphia to Port Carbon in the anthracite coal fields of the coal region of Pottsville Pa. Im not sure if the lamp is as early as these dates maybe the company continued after the completion of this job. Anyway a nice early lamp in very good condition someone did clean it at some point.

18th century Folk Art Trivet
Super wrought iron trivet this early craftsman had snakes on his mind. The serpent was often used in various ways in the 18th and 19th century it was thought they warded off evil spirits. The details can not be totally seen in the one photo so ask if you want to see others.

19th Century Book Box
Reallly neat early book box -interesting piece for sure here is a mid 19th century trinket book box. The case is dovetailed and about 10" long, 6 3/4" wide. 2 1/2" thick, small brass hinges attach the lid. The interior of the box has one area with 5 little compartments each with a sliding lid with a thumb grove to slide open, the lids appear to be mahogany. The lid closes with a small brass lock but there is no key. It would be easy to find one though. The outside or the binding is painted flat black while the area that looks like the pages is paint decorated with orange and yellow graining this makes for a very pleasing overall look. All original in very good condition just normal wear from age.

Walnut Feather Bed Smoother
I think this must have another name but its a Pennsylvania German walnut board used to smooth out a feather bed. There is decoration along with some ones initials. Its an early piece just how early im not sure but am gussing about 1800.

Early dated Iron Building Plaque
Early iron building "cornerstone" or plaque 10 3/4" x 71/4" about 1/2" thick. Incised is "Erected By Z. Allen 1827" The info that came with this sates Zachariah Allen was a textile mill owner in Rhode Island in the late 18th century through the early part of the 19th.

Interesting find! late 19th century wallet belonging to an employee of the Bodine Glass Manufacturing Company located in Williamstown NJ.Bodine is an old SJ name associated with glassmaking.Contains many pay stubs and a couple letters and some misc. items.

Very Rare Glass Gaffer and Glass Cane Post Card
Very rare post card showing a glass gaffers and his glass cane whimsy along with a award of some sort. You just don`t find cards like this ever! Judging from the cane Id say its from the mid west.

Large 1 bushel South Jersey Oyster basket possibly made by Noah Newcomb Comberland Co. NJ, made from reeds,oak and iron. Great example left over from the good old days of Baymen and the oyster trade.Overall good condition.

Full Uncut Sheet of Salem Glass Works Script
Hard to find full uncut sheet of glass house money this was used as payment to the glass workers in turn they had to use it in the company store to buy their items for personal use, what a racket ! Great graphics ask for a photo of this framed item..Salem Glass Works was founded in 1863 it later became The Gayner Glass works in 1874

Sheraton Reverse Painted Mirror
Late Sheraton reverse painted mirror in a mahogany frame. the total size is aprox.. 16 1/2" x 34" the frame was refinished back in the 40s by my grandfather the paint has some loss but still very decorative I've had it for 30 years and the paint condition has not changed.

Smith Fordge "Head of River"
Large early hand forged ladle it is 40 inches long and 9 1/2 inches wide at the bowl end.This piece was salvaged from the depths of the river somewhere in the vicinity of Smith Forge at the Head of the River in Southern New jersey.This is the story I was told by the seller.There are a couple of Ss branded into the handle and maybe other letters but I can`t make them out.This is completely hand wrought and very early late 18th to early 19th century. I think this was used to pour molten iron into molds,, rare item indeed!

Early Brass Spill/Wall Box
late 18th or early 19th century brass wall spill box. Probably Dutch, circa 1790-1820. It's hand-formed from heavy sheet brass, with concave front and hinged lid, which is also domed, and with a shaped backplate with a naive, deeply chased scene of two men in 18th century dress carrying a woman in a sedan chair. With the original triangular iron hanging ring. The lid still shows hammer marks from when it was formed, and the interior has a fine untouched patina. It measures approx. 6 3/4" wide by 5 3/4" tall. For similar examples see Figures 36-38 in Fire & Light in the home pre-1820 by John Caspall.

Early Tin Candle Holder, Complete
Found here in South Jersey is a tin sand weighted base fat burning lamp complete with pick. About 7 1/2" tall good condition but there was a very slight bit of rust on the bottom like it sat in some water once. I applied a little bit of epoxy to seal it up, still very nicely formed.

Interesting mid 19th century wax jack with cockerel final . The cockerel was a symbol of good luck among other good things sometimes seen on early blown glass from the 18th and 19th century. Makers marks on the bottom probably Continental.
