NEW Redware Salt, Probably 2nd Half of the 19th Century
Very rare and interesting early redware salt made in the form of a New England Glass Company pressed glass salt. Not sure how it was done because it is slightly smaller then the original glass salt although its almost identical to the original. Its marked on the base just like the original glass version "N.E.Glass Company Boston" but its hard to make out what it says. I have other photos of it and an original opalescent salt listed on the Blown Glass page.450.00

Very Rare Large N.J. Presentation Pitcher
Rare Rockingham presentation pitcher made for S.B.Scattergood of Hightstown N.J.This piece is fresh to the market it had been in a large collection on New Jersey related pottery and furniture collected it the 1930s. Rockingham presentation pitchers are scarce this particular mold is a very hard one to find and to my limited knowledge this is the only one made as a presentation piece. Mr. Scattergood was probably from Burlington Co the pitcher was likely made at the Swan Hill Pottery in the mid 19th century. 3100.0

Early New England Redware Jar
Hard to find New England redware jar circa 1810-1840 applied handles, tooled rim like seen on early blown glass from that period. Covered in a clear glaze with splashes of manganese. This pot came with a lid, not sure if it is the type of lid that would have been made for it but its old and fits very well. Jar is in very good condition the lid does have a tight hairline. 795.00 |
