Needle worked sampler silk on linen in very fine condition. Stitched by Ruth Stern of Christina Hundred New Castle in 1803.Aprox 15” x 11” conservation mounted and framed. In 1777 Ruths fathered served in the Revolutionary War in the Delaware regiment as a private. Ruth Stern 1791-1816 daughter of George Stern 1745-1795 and Sarah West 1748-1823 .
