Antique Details

Two rare, Ive only seen about 6 in my lifetime. I had one as a kid I received from my Grandmother. The earlier one is carved from a single piece of wood somewhat like Spruce Gum boxes are. The sliding lid had shrunk a bit but works as does the other one. All the examples I have seen except this red one has a sharp spike sticking out of the serpents mouth.Id imagine In its day It would have struck your finger.
