Emanuel Meily (c. 1805–1869): A Pennsylvania German weaver and blue dyer from Lebanon, Meily was known for his intricate Jacquard coverlets. The National Museum of American History holds one of his creations, dated 1838, which features a "Stars and Lilies" design in red, white, blue, and green.
