Expertly hand made chip carved mirror to hold or to hang on the wall. Solid Walnut a good 1 inch thick not counting the mirror and molding, The surface has a good patina snd the mirror must have been home made too which could put it earlier then discribed, In the early period " looking glass" was heavily taxed by the british making them unafordable for the average home, I can only see the head of the tacks that hold the mirror in place therefor am having a hard time pinning down its age.Id be happy to aend more images.
