Year: Early 19th Century
Weight: 3.5 lbs

A hard to find wooden double candle adjustable candle stick. Probably used on a candle stand or any flat surface. The 2 piece has been cut nicely to fit together perhaps a type of mortising? The longer or front piece of the base has been cut on a long section has been cut on a long slowly tapering down to a low angle. Its hard to see in the image,This same piece has an round nicely threaded 18" tall separate piece of wood. This accommodates an matching threaded candle holder. That piece has been shaped somewhat so that the candle socket id wider.Super smooth feel with years of usage, the wood in the socket has been scorched.I had wrought iron candle holders designed to function the same way. I think its made of pine or some other soft wood.Hard to put an exact date on this but is defiantly 19th century.
