Early 19th century feather bed smoother possibly a wedding present or love token.American version of the Mangle boards made in Norway during the 18th century this is most likely a scarce American example using lighter thinner wood and a much less complex design.A very nice example ,possibly Pennsylvaina Dutch origin.It is 22 inches long and only 3/16th of an inch thick tappering at the edges.A nice decrative item!
